Preset Input
Digital LED Counters and Timers show plant personnel where they stand. Plant management often has a predetermined shift goal (in units or time). This is a "PRESET" value. As production personnel complete their tasks, the LED Counter (in units) or Timer ( in seconds, minutes etc...) will decrement from this preset number. ALI counters allow plant managers to input a number as a goal. When the "PRESET" input is activated, the display will show this number. An example of the usage of the preset option for an Electronic LED Counter might be when a shift must complete 100 units. The display is "PRESET" at 100 at the start of the shift. A sensor or palm switch decrements the count when each product is completed by the work cell. This lets the work cell know where they stand throughout the shift. An example of the usage of the preset option for an Electronic LED Timer might be if a work cell must change stamping dies between runs in twenty minutes. The display is "PRESET" at 20:00 at the start of die change. The LED Timer will decrement from this preset value letting the team know how much time is left. The preset option is also often used for simple timing of predetermined employee breaks.
